Your safety is a principal concern at all times during your adventures with
NHA. We make every effort to assure you the safest, most enjoyable
trip possible. The following is
a list of things to be aware of
before embarking on your
adventure.
|
-
All of our
professional
guides are
licensed by
the Coast
Guard and
insured.
-
All vessels are in excellent condition and are equipped with operational marine VHF radios.
-
All vessels are equipped with Coast Guard approved personal floatation devices (PFD’s) for everyone on the boat. The Captain will tell you where they are.
-
All our Captains are knowledgeable of the
fishing area
and keep up
with the
ever
changing
weather
conditions.
Storms in
Florida can
be
frightening,
but our
Captains are
trained to
handle
unexpected
weather.
-
Our Captains are responsible for the passengers in their vessels. Passengers are
expected to follow their Captain’s instructions.
-
Passengers are asked to remain seated at all times when the vessel is underway.
-
Insects can be a nuisance. Each vessel will have insect repellant suitable for the area.
-
Passengers are encouraged to bring and use sunscreen. The Florida sun can burn you quickly, especially when you are out on the water.
-
All vessels
will be
equipped
with coolers
stocked with
water,
juice,
snacks, and
other things
to make your
fishing
adventure
not only
enjoyable
but safer.
Dehydration
can quickly
develop in
the humid
heat of
Florida.
-
Guests are
encouraged
to dress
comfortably
but to keep
in mind that
sun and
insects can
cause great
aggravation. NHAES can provide suggestions on clothing or can furnish clothing as part of your package.
